Second Reminder to Get Ready, Get Thru
As if last Monday night’s 5.9 magnitude earthquake wasn’t enough motivation to get your emergency kits and plans sorted, now Hawke’s Bay has felt another jolt.
However, this time the earthquake, measuring magnitude 5.8, was based 10km south of Turangi at a depth of 80km.
HDC Senior Emergency Management Officer, Paul Hawke, says the earthquake was felt widely throughout central North Island, Hawke's Bay and Wellington.
