More Opportunities For District Plan Submissions

Submissions to the council’s District Plan received earlier in the year are now available for public “resubmission.”

“It’s like having two bites at the cherry,” manager environmental services Mike Brown explains.

“The process offers people two opportunities but the second round can only apply to the submissions already received”.

All 30 submissions have been summarised– numbering 24 pages of hard copy – and can be collected at all Tararua libraries and service centres as well as on line.

The submissions have covered a range of topics with no single issue emerging.

Both groups of submitters will have the chance to speak to their submissions at a later date.

October 3 is the deadline and a public reminder will also be printed next week.
