Electors of the Otara ward will receive voting documents from Tuesday 7 October. Voting closes at 12 noon on Wednesday 29 October 2008.

Electoral officer John Skelton encourages residents and ratepayers to enrol, if they are not already, so they can vote in this by-election. Anyone who is not enrolled at this stage will have to apply for a special vote.

Electors can send their completed voting documents using the pre-paid envelope, or deliver them to the Electoral Office, Manukau City Council Civic building, 31-33 Wiri Station Road during normal business hours.

The vacancy on the Otara Community Board was created when Efu Koka was elected to Manukau city councillor in a recent by-election.
