Cullen's Train Set Proving A Bottomless Pit

ACT Leader Rodney Hide today said that Finance Minister Dr Michael Cullen had now blown hundreds of millions of dollars of hard earned taxpayers' money trying to play trains.

"It's clear that State-owned and operated rail is proving to be a bottomless black hole sucking up taxpayers dollars," Mr Hide said.

"It was a mistake to buy rail back way over valuation and it's going to cost more money.

"At a time when New Zealand should be preparing itself for the worldwide financial crisis, Dr Cullen is busy propping up his bad investment into KiwiRail," Mr Hide said.
