ASB TopSpot report reveals NZ's health utopia
If you want advice on how to live long and without stress, then ask Rodney residents.
This is according to a TopSpots report commissioned by ASB which shows Rodney to be New Zealand’s Health Utopia. Dwellers in Rodney claim a healthy lifestyle and that they seldom, if ever, experience high levels of negative stress. They top the table at a staggering 49%, the highest number recorded for that category!
ASB commissioned the series of eight TopSpots reports as part of their commitment to provide home buyers with useful information and tools to make owning a home and finding the ideal neighbourhood as easy as possible. The reports will start appearing exclusively on the ASB website - www.iwantahome.co.nz from October. The focus will be different each month and will include topics like Most Affordable Places, Best Retirement Places and Best Family Places and Most Prestigious Places, to name a few.
The TopSpots series aims to offer information on the lifestyle attributes and the social fabric of New Zealand’s towns and cities. This information could assist you in your decision on where to buy a home if you are looking to live long, be in the pink of health and sport the ruddiest complexion in all of New Zealand.
In the first report, Healthiest Places, an in depth analysis on 17 of our largest cities, districts and District Health Boards was conducted across 13 criteria ranging from life expectancy to something as simple as the amount of fruit and vegetables consumed.
The report shows a league table of the 10 healthiest places. Visitors to the site can then click through to find out more about Rodney; the sorts of people who live there and homes for sale in real time.
The information within the reports have been compiled from various sources, such as Statistics New Zealand, the Ministry of Health and QV and were created by Barbican Publishing.
