Looking Forward to His New Role
Armed with a lot of local knowledge and a long association with the district newly elected member of the Dannevirke Community Board Ross Macdonald is looking forward to his new role.
Raised in Whetakura, a former policeman, logging contractor, mill hand, truck driver, Mills Bros employee and now senior salesman at Goldpine, Mr Macdonald is well placed for an involvement in district affairs.
Personal interests include the Viking choir of which he is chairman, and the Dannevirke Theatre Company where he has been stage manager for a number of productions.
A keen interest in the rural area, support for projects like the Viking icon statue and the refurbished Dannevirke High St, will ensure that Mr Macdonald will have much to contribute.
