Auckland-based Telecommunications company Orcon has announced three new staff appointments.

David Joyce has been appointed Head of Sales and Marketing. A qualified accountant with an MBA from the University of NSW, Mr Joyce was most recently with Vodafone where he was GM Marketing at iHug. He fills a position at Orcon that was previously vacant.

New Head of Customer Experience is Audrey Watts who leads all the customer-facing teams at Orcon including the contact centre, outbound sales, credit services, provisioning and service delivery. She comes to the company from Westpac Bank where she was Head of Call Centres.

Taryn Hamilton joins Orcon in mid-December as Head of Products. The role focuses on strategic management, growth and development of the company's residential and business product base. He joins Orcon from iiNet based in Perth where he was Head of Consumer Products.

About Orcon
Orcon is New Zealand's fourth largest telecommunications provider, providing calling and Internet services to residential and business customers. Based on the North Shore of Auckland, the 120-strong staff are led by Scott Bartlett, the company's Chief Executive.
Orcon's core aim is to provide New Zealanders with remarkable product performance and customer service. In keeping with this aim, it was New Zealand's first telecommunications provider to launch services in the wake of 'local loop unbundling'. Orcon customers in 'unbundled' areas of Auckland can now benefit from the company's new ADSL2+ network, roughly tripling the bandwidth of conventional ADSL.
Orcon was awarded the TUANZ innovations award in 2006 and 2007 consecutively, and was a finalist in the 2007 Vero Excellence in Business Support awards. It is NZ's fastest-growing telecommunications provider and was named TUANZ Telecommunications Carrier of the Year for 2008.
