Ewen Thompson tops MVP rankings

Ewen Thompson has leap-frogged into the lead of the new State MVP rankings following a five-wicket haul for the State Central Stags in their win over the State Northern Knights last week.

The 28 year old left arm bowler has had a stellar start to the season with twelve wickets and two victories under his belt already.

Thompson overtakes last week’s leader Colin de Grandhomme, who slips to third on the table despite another
solid performance for the State Auckland Aces this week.
