Summerdaze website launched www.summerdaze.co.nz
A new website dedicated to the Summerdaze Festival was launched this week.
“The new website looks fantastic. It’s bright, easy to use and has everything you need to know about getting involved in the festival,” Queenstown Lakes District Council arts and events facilitator Jan Maxwell said.
The website would be updated daily during January to highlight the day’s events.
“It’s not just a calendar of events, it will also have up to date information about road closures, recycling and liquor bans around the district,” Mrs Maxwell said.
Meanwhile, event organisers were working overtime to plan a range of community events designed to let locals kick back and enjoy each other’s company, while giving visitors the opportunity to rub shoulders with those that live and work in the district.
“We’re looking forward to bringing back the popular open air cinema and ‘park up’ skate events in both Queenstown and Wanaka,” Mrs Maxwell said.
“We’ve also got an exciting new community sporting event in the pipeline, so keep an eye out for more details about The Summerdaze Challenge, coming soon.”
The festival will run from December 31 through to February 1.
A full programme of events would be on the streets next week.
