Ngaruroro River Bans and River Warnings
Following recent rainfall to parts of the region, irrigation warnings have been lifted on many flows in the Tukituki River catchment. However bans remain on some areas within the Ngaruroro River catchment and little rain is forecast over the coming week.
Warnings have been lifted from the Tukipo River, Waipawa River and Tukituki River at Tapairu Road with only one further ban applied to Raupare Drain at Ormond Road for the 300L/sec low flow limit.
In summary:
Irrigation bans in Hawke’s Bay are on the Ngaruroro River at Whanawhana (consent s with low flow cutoffs @ 15000L/sec & 12800L/sec), Karamu Stream (consent s with low flow cutoffs @ 1100L/sec), Papanui, Karewarewa, Poukawa, Irongate, Te Waikaha Stream and Raupare Drain.
Under warning are takes from the Kauhauroa Stream tributary (Wairoa River catchment) and the Puhokio Stream at both levels (consent s with low flow cutoffs @ 120L/sec & 80L/sec).
