Changes to Tuakau Service Centre
From 16 February the part-time Franklin District Council Service Centre in Tuakau will be replaced with access to Council information at the Tuakau Library.
Library staff will be available to provide information and forms on Franklin District Council services and a deposit box will be available for cash and cheque water and rates payments.
Franklin District Council’s GM Corporate Services Sue O’Gorman says changes have been made as more people use electronic or direct debit payment methods and the website for general enquiries.
“The growing use of electronic means for transactions and enquiries and the close proximity of the Pukekohe Service Centre has enabled us to streamline our service centre operations in Tuakau, working with our Library partner to provide a specialised information service that is now available full time.”
“This is one of a number of initiatives Franklin District Council is working on to improve efficiency and reduce cost,” she says.
An Express Phone that connects directly to the Pukekohe Service Centre for more complex enquiries will also be available.
