Final call for sizzling summer snaps

There are just a few days left to get your clever camerawork into the Taupo District Council “Summer Snaps” competition.

If you’ve caught the essence of summer on camera – whether it be in Taupo, Turangi, Mangakino or anywhere else in the district – you could win a fantastic prize. Your photo or video just needs to show how exciting and vibrant our district is and how active and healthy Taupo people are.

Up for grabs are Kings of Leon concert tickets, a Huka Jet boat ride and AC Baths family passes.

Mayor Rick Cooper says the people of the Lake Taupo district have “energy to burn”. “Summer here is always packed with family, fun, action and activity. We will accept digital shots, video, or e-pics which capture the holiday spirit of locals and visitors who just love to get out and enjoy this great place,” he says.
