Tips for Living Well at Home and Lifestyle Expo
If you want to get the most out of your home and lifestyle, pop along to the Taranaki Daily News Home and Lifestyle Expo this weekend.
On at the TSB Stadium from this Friday to Sunday (6-8 March), the expo has about 100 exhibitors with products and services ranging from slate roofs, curtains, air conditioning and organics through to property management, health insurance, brewery products and pets.
“The exhibitors cover a range of interests and expertise, and there is also a new food and outdoor living area for the public to enjoy,” says Acting Manager Events Melissa Devine-Collins.
Each day features a range of cooking and gardening demonstrations, including how to get rid of scraps the no-smell way through worm farming, how to start an edible garden without stress, and how to build a giant sandwich with the fruits of your garden.
There are also cookware and Tupperware demonstrations, plus chef battles on Saturday and Sunday with the meals being auctioned on-site.
“There’s a lot going on in the event programme, and we’re also bringing in a bouncy castle for the kids so that they can enjoy themselves as much as the adults,” says Mrs Devine-Collins.
“Also, everyone who attends the expo will go in the draw to win a family portrait from Geralds Gallery valued at $3,500.”
The expo is open from 10am-5pm on Friday and Saturday, and 10am-4pm on Sunday. Daily tickets are $5 for adults, $2 for senior citizens with children under 12 free, or $10 for a weekend pass.
