The White Ferns head off to training 12-45 pm NZ time today March 9th to Pratton Oval in Ashfield Sydney.

Tomorrow, tuesday they take on The West Indies in their second ICC WOMEN'S WORLD CUP match which will be played at The Bankstown Oval.

Fresh from their 13 run victory in the opening match of their ICC WOMEN'S WORLD CUP over defending champions Australia, The White Ferns will be keen to hone the areas that provided concern in that win.

White Ferns Coach Gary Stead said while his side did take three outstanding catches, that they dropped other much easier ones was disappointing.

He said his top five batters provided a wonderful platform [170/4] from which to launch their final attack which included having a batting power play, but the White Ferns side was bowled out for 205 and he said this will be an area that will come under scrutiny at practise today.

Scores in the opening match
White Ferns 205 Haidee Tiffen 57, Amy Satterthwaite 38, Sarah McGlashan 29.
Australia 132/6 when rain stopped played [Duckworth /Lewis system applied to declare New Zealand the victors] Kate Pulford 3/32 and Sophie Devine 2/19 both off 7 overs each.

All the players in the White Ferns squad are fit and available for selection for Tuesday's match
