Public Submissions to the Waitaki District Long Term Council Community Plan 2009-19 close this Wednesday April 22. It is still not too late to make your submission!

The Community Plan details how the Council is planning to ‘rate and spend’ over the next ten years. The Council summarized the main issues in the ‘Waitaki Express’ and posted the Express to every ratepayer in the district.

You can make your submission using the form in the Waitaki Express, via the Council’s website or by letter. Don’t forget to include your name and address so the Council can respond to you.

By the end of last week, 122 people / organizations had already made submissions on the Waitaki District Long term Council-Community Plan 2009-19.

Because some people make submissions on more than one topic, the sum of the submissions by topic will be higher than the number of submissions by person/organization.

By way of comparison, Council received 262 submissions on the 2006-16 Draft Waitaki Community Plan. 71 submitters were scheduled to make oral presentations to Council; 67 finally presented.
