HAWKE'S BAY

Hawke's Bay Regional Council has lifted Irrigation bans from the Ngaruroro River as river flows are back over the low flow limits due to a good rainfall in the headwaters.

The river will remain on warning status for the short term until the Council is confident that flows are returning to normal.

Irrigation bans were only placed back on parts of the river last week.

Seven rivers and streams still have irrigation bans in place. However these will be reviewed next week following the predicted rain through the weekend.

Information on current irrigation ban status and flow limits is updated each time on www.hbrc.govt.nz – click on Low Flow Bans Date under the Online Information heading on the home page.
