Ten Year Plan Consultation Period Extended

The Hastings District Council has extended its submission deadline to Monday 11 May 2009 for submissions to the Council's Ten Year Plan.

The extension is to facilitate further involvement from the community in the consultation process.

The submission process has been open since 28 March 2009 and was due to close tomorrow, Thursday May 7.

The time extension which applies to all submissions, responds to community requests for more time to make submissions on the proposed closure of the Blackbridge Transfer Station.

The easiest way to make a submission is on line at www.hastingsdc.govt.nz and click on the link "Ten Year Plan 2009-2019" on the home page.

The Council would also like to highlight that an article within its Outlook Newsletter, soon to be posted to ratepayers, calling for last submissions to the plan to be made by Thursday May 7 is now out of date.

This is due to a delay in the posting of the newsletter.
