International Green Summit announces conference and expo in Moura, Portugal November 2009

The International Green Summit (IGS) has signed an agreement with the government of Moura, Portugal to hold the first annual conference and expo November 9 – 14, 2009. The Portuguese government has welcomed and is supporting this event in their efforts to be environmentally sustainable. www.igsonline2009.com

IGS will also hold a green venture capital conference, in Moura, in the last weekend of august, were will be held a fund to support environmental projects and the participation of companies and organizations in the IGS conference.

The opening reception will take place at Castle of Moura on Monday evening, with exposition and diverse cultural events, with a gala dinner following. It’s expected to open the Summit, at the opening dinner and conference, representants of the Spanish government, as like to the closing conference and receptions on Friday, representants of the Portuguese government.

IGS is implementing environmentally friendly best practices at its annual event. These green initiatives include online registration, electronic badges with information, coupons and games for the event. IGS will feature live on-line webcasts of the event through websites and classrooms around the world.

In addition, handouts from sessions will be available on CD-ROM and online instead of paper, and traditional materials such as conference badges and event programs, will be printed on recycled paper, the go is to achieved the objective to be a carbon zero conference with the reduction trough zero footprint programs with a Portuguese enterprise as a partner.

IGS’s First Annual Conference & Exposition will offer leading educational sessions covering innovations, sustainability in business, renewable fuels and energy, consumer products, leadership strategies and ethics, among other topics and networking events.
