A Fresh Look for Initial Tropical Plants

Ambius is the new name for Initial Tropical Plants, New Zealand, a leading provider of indoor plants, silk floral arrangements and interior artwork for working environments.

The new name comes with a fresh ‘greener on the inside’ motto highlighting plants as a necessity for indoor environments.

“Our new name in the Pacific region brings us in to line with the company across the world and is part of a programme demonstrating the proven health benefits of plants in office workplaces,” says Ambius New Zealand spokesman, Grant McEwen.

Despite the current economic climate Ambius says it’s confident of growth.

“The essence of the Ambius brand is the creation of more environmentally sustainable work places and practices, a necessity for today’s forward-thinking management,” says McEwen.

Recognition of the role of indoor plants is growing with the New Zealand Green Building Council awarding up to two points towards green star ratings for indoor plant installations.

In addition, research from around the world confirms the role of plants improving indoor air quality.

“There’s being many studies conducted which show plants not only remove indoor air toxins, but reduce noise levels offices, something that’s vital in increasing employee productivity,” says McEwen.

McEwen says studies from Australia, Europe, America and Britain show planted offices lower stress levels, reduce employee sickness, and improve concentration, particularly when employees are working on computers.

“Greener on the inside is a win-win for everyone involved.”

The new Ambius brand has been designed to better reflect the company’s extended portfolio which builds on the company’s 21 years’ experience in designing, installing and servicing interior plants. The portfolio will include a stylish, funky new range of containers and plants, corporate artwork and interior plant scaping design services.

As part of the branding process Ambius has launched a new website www.ambius.co.nz and now begins the roll out of its new look, products and services.

Ambius has offices in Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch, as well as all over Australia. More than 100 people are employed, working in various plant technician, sales, support and managerial roles.
