New Zealand Cricket has advised that BLACKCAPS bowler Kyle Mills is likely to sit out the team’s opening game of the ICC World Twenty20 against Scotland on Saturday.

Coach Andy Moles said Mills is recovering from a back injury and has responded well to treatment this week. His condition will be monitored over the next few days before a decision is made on whether he plays in the game against South Africa on Tuesday.

Jesse Ryder is expected to be able to take a full part in Saturday’s match, after receiving pain relief treatment this week for a groin injury.
