The fastest growing Australasian rental car firm Jucy is backing the NZ ski racing team and the Winter Games in the run up to the biggest event of its kind in the southern hemisphere.

Jucy Rentals will provide the official vehicles to the national teams this winter. Jucy will provide three team vehicles that are distinctly identifiable in the clever Jucy way. Additionally, Jucy will award the use of a vehicle to the winners at the New Zealand championships this year. The

Jucy chief executive Tim Alpe said today their aim was to get behind major national events, like the Wanaka and Taupo Ironman, the Winter Games and now the NZ ski racing team.

The NZ Winter Games will be seen in august by 350 million viewers on television. The event has attracted 800 of the world’s top winter sports athletes. The biennial event is the only event of its kind outside the Winter Olympics and will take place at Coronet Peak, The Remarkables, Cardrona Alpine Resort, Snow Farm, Naseby and Dunedin from August 21 to 30.

The Games include alpine skiing, free skiing, x-country skiing, snowboarding, curling, ice skating and adaptive snow sports as well as the demonstration sports of winter triathlon and natural luge.

Jucy began in 2001 from Parnell, Auckland. In the space just a few years Jucy has one of the largest fleets in Australasia with 1500 rental cars and 600 campervans in New Zealand and Australia.
