ANZ Championship final series

It took every one of the 65 games in 14 weeks of Round Robin play to determine the top four teams for the 2009 ANZ Championship Finals Series.

We are now just days away from what are set to be two classic trans-Tasman Semi-Finals.

Semi-Final 1 sees the Melbourne Vixens host the Colourplus Waikato / Bay of Plenty Magic. The last time these two teams met Magic defeated Vixens by 7 goals. However that was on New Zealand territory and in this match-up both teams have a home Grand Final to play for!

Semi-Final 2 is a sudden-death contest, the Adelaide Thunderbirds host the Ascot Park Hotel Southern Steel in what will be a tough and enthralling match. The last time these two teams played the Steel were victorious by 9 goals. The winning team from this game will play the losing team from Semi-Final 1 in the Preliminary Final on Sunday 19th July.

Get set because the temperature of the hottest game in town is set to rise when the Finals Series starts this Sunday 12th July.
