Crown Road to remain open longer

Fulton Hogan has been able to re-schedule the planned closure of Crown Road allowing this road to remain open for now. Crown Road had been scheduled to close next week on Monday 13 July as part of the ETA construction programme.

However, earthworks will now commence in the Broadlands Reserve area working south towards SH5 rather than the original plan of working north from SH5.

Project Manager Ron Boyle said the temporary closure of Crown Road will still take place later in the construction schedule, “we will give people plenty of notice before it is closed to allow the construction of the SH5/ETA roundabout and the single lane slip road.”
