Rates Rebates processing in Tairua and Pauanui
TCDC to visit Tairua and Pauanui to process rates rebates.
Lower income ratepayers in Tairua and Pauanui can have their rates rebates applications processed locally again this year to save them a trip to Whangamata or Thames.
The rates rebate gives them up to $550 off their annual rates bill. Locals will need to pick up and complete their application form in advance and have the additional information ready on the day.
A Thames-Coromandel District Council Customer Services representative will be in Tairua and Pauanui to process the completed rates rebates forms on Thursday 20 August. From 9:30 to 11:30 in the morning the processing will be done at the Pauanui Library and then from 1:00 to 5:00 at the Tairua Library.
Applicants will need accurate information about their income and that of any spouse/partner or joint home owner who lives with them for the tax year ended 31 March 2009. They will also need their Environment Waikato rates bill. All other information needed depending on circumstances is listed on the application forms.
Forms will be available at the Tairua Library, Pauanui Library and Pauanui Community Office from Monday (3 August). Forms can also be downloaded from the internet by going to www.ratesrebates.govt.nz.
