Association takes last formal step before getting down to business
The Hamilton Central Business Association will take its last formal establishment step this week before taking up its role as the Business Improvement District (BID) for the central city.
As part of the BID Policy, the Association is required to hold an election for the formation of its executive committee. Voting forms have been posted out to retailers and commercial property owners in central city Hamilton ahead of the Annual General Meeting for the Association this Thursday evening. This will be held in the Waikato Room at SKYCITY at 6pm.
Hamilton City Councillor Angela O'Leary has already been appointed to the executive committee by Council. A Council appointment is also required as part of the BID Policy.
Following the formation of the Association executive, a general manager will be employed to help develop and implement a strategic plan to meet the aims and objectives of the Association.
