Community Forum helps charities raise funds

A Hastings District Council community forum in September will provide attendees with knowledge as well as practical skills to help them raise funds for their charity or community groups.

The forum focusing on fundraising will be held in the Council Chamber at 207 Lyndon Street East on Friday, 4th September from 11am - 1:30pm

A group of speakers are Hastings District Council, Endeavour Community Trust, Eastern and Central Community Trust, Department of Internal Affairs and Hastings Libraries on Fundview* will present information about community grants and funding opportunities.

Speakers will then be available to answer any questions during informal break-out sessions.

The Community Development Team organises regular Community Forums to provide information on a range of topics and services.

The Community Forums are particularly aimed at those involved in, or working with, community organisations and the not-for-profit sector.

The format for the Community Forums generally consists of a guest speaker, followed by a opportunity for informal discussion and networking.

The forums are free to attend.
