Public Hearing for future of Pokeno starts today
The public hearing for Plan Change 24, which outlines future growth plans for Pokeno, starts today.
Independent commissioners have been appointed to hear all submissions and assess the proposed plan change.
Franklin District Mayor, Mark Ball says, “Members of the public are welcome to attend the hearing and listen. All submitters who indicated they wished to be heard at the hearing have been allocated speaking time. This is a very comprehensive process, with the hearing timetabled to run for up to two weeks.”
The hearing starts at 10am on 24 August 2009, in the Supper Room at Tuakau Community Hall.
A total of 86 submissions were received on the proposed plan change, covering a wide range of topics.
Copies of the summary of submissions and the original submissions are available at the Franklin District Council Service Centre on Manukau Road, Pukekohe and at www.franklin.govt.nz.
