Alice Mason ran a personal best 5000m in a women only race finishing second in 16m 28.51s at the BMC Cardiff meeting.

OTAGO
Clyde to Alexandra 10km Road Race - 15 August 2009
Incorporating the Otago Senior Road Championships
Matt Lambert won in 30m 31s from Dougal Thorburn 30m 44s and Tony Payne 30m 58s with Luke Hurring fourth in 31m 26s. Daniel Balchin was first in the M19 with 31m 36s. Rachel Kingsford took out the women's section in 35m 9s, from Kellie Palmer 36m 1s and Kirsty Morris 36m 7s. Christina Taylor won the W19 in 39m 34s.
Glen Ferguson led in the master men in 32m 3s, while Kathy Maclachlan dominated the master women in 36m 59s.

CHRISTCHURCH
Canterbury Road Road Championships - 22 August 2009
Sam Wreford won the Canterbury title covering the 10km in 30m 45s. Brett Tingay was second in 31m 5s, with Phil Costley third in 31m 51s. Fiona Crombie won the women's title over 10km in 35m 51s from Kellie Palmer 36m 18s.

ROTORUA
Waikato Bay of Plenty Road Championships - 22 August 2009
Michael Pugh was the top runner in the senior men's and masters 10km winning the masters section in 31m 31s.Iain Macdonald won the senior men's 10km in 31m 36s. Steven O'Callaghan was second in 32m 1s. Helen Rountree won the women's 10km in 38m 14s, from Johanna Ottosson 39m 8s. Bridget Deverall was the best of the master women with a time of 18m 44s for 5km. Kieran McPherson won the M19 8km in 26m 16s.

INVERCARGILL
Glen Ballam was the fastest in a 6.2km handicap road race recording 23m 35s. Kathy MacLachlan was the fastest in the women's with 25m 53s.
