Tuhoe business is Tuhoe business

"The Maori Party wants to make it absolutely clear that Tuhoe business is just that, and the party is not, and will not be, interfering in the iwi's Treaty negotiations," said the co-leaders, Tariana Turia and Pita Sharples.

"We absolutely support Te Kotahi a Tuhoe in their efforts, and we will continue to help in any way we can,” Tariana Turia said.

"Just today, Tamati Kruger, the chief negotiator for Te Kotahi a Tuhoe, thanked the Maori Party for its support," said Dr Sharples.
