Kiwi wins junior downhill mountainbike World Champs

Hawkes Bay teenager Brook McDonald has taken out the junior men’s downhill title at the UCI Mountainbike World Championships in Canberra today.

Third fastest in timed qualifying, McDonald clocked 2”36.49 to win from Australian’s Shaun O’Connor by more than a second.

The elite women and elite men are still to race.
