Silver Ferns Team Confirmed for New World International Netball Series

National Selectors have today confirmed the twelve strong team Silver Ferns team to play Australia in the New World International Netball Series beginning this Sunday.

Silver Ferns midcourter Liana Barrett-Chase is currently undergoing rehab due to a calf strain and has been ruled out of contention for the up-coming tests against the Diamonds while experienced defender Sheryl Scanlan has been added to the side.

The Silver Ferns team to play against the Australian Diamonds in the Holden Netball Test Series in Melbourne is:

Temepara George – vice-captain , Katrina Grant, Paula Griffin, Joline Henry, Laura Langman, Sheryl Scanlan, Wendy Telfer, Anna Thompson, Maria Tutaia , Irene van Dyk , Larrissa Willcox, Casey Williams – Captain.

The Silver Ferns will arrive in Invercargill on Friday to prepare for the first test on Sunday afternoon.
