Sir Howard Morrison To Live On In Our Hearts

ACT New Zealand Deputy Leader Heather Roy today - on behalf of ACT Leader Rodney Hide and MPs Sir Roger Douglas, David Garrett and John Boscawen - paid tribute to Sir Howard Morrison, who passed away in Rotorua this morning.

"It was with great sadness that we learned of Sir Howard's passing. Our thoughts are with his whanau and loved ones at this difficult time," Mrs Roy said.

"Sir Howard was one of New Zealand's greatest icons - a household name for an entire generation of Kiwis - who played an enormous role in introducing New Zealand culture to the world.

"New Zealand has lost one of its greatest entertainers and statesmen; a man who led by example and who will be missed by all. Sir Howard will live on in our hearts," Mrs Roy said.
