Normally when people hear of barter they think of business’ trading with one another; but now there’s more to it with BarterZone.

No longer do you have to be a business to join the barter trade community; Patrick Howard, CEO of BarterZone says “When we looked at what was happening with barter in the community, we realised that everyday New Zealanders, mums and dads, needed the opportunity to be able to buy and sell using the cashless system normally only enjoyed by businesses.”

In BarterZone, Howard said he wanted to ensure as many people as possible could benefit, and is now offering individuals the opportunity to trade with each other. Individuals will be able to ‘shop’ at participating businesses and use their BarterZone trade dollar credits instead of dipping into their hard earned money.

Howard said that he wanted to ensure that anyone could join BarterZone, and in launching BarterZone he is offering $100,000 in The Great BarterZone Giveaway .

“All that’s required to be eligible for The Great BarterZone Giveaway draw is to join by the end of November and refer as many of your family & friends to join. Each time someone is referred and they join, the person making the referral will be entered in the draw.” Howard added.

The $100,000 BarterZone trade dollar giveaway runs from 1st October until 30 November. Visit www.barterzone.co.nz to find out how you can join BarterZone and be in the draw.

BarterZone has over 1000 participating members including cafes, restaurants, dentists, automotive services; so there is something for everyone.
