BarterZone, formerly Ozone, has relaunched under a brand offering more for both business and non business (individual) members.

What was once a standard barter system where businesses traded with each other the all new BarterZone is able to offer its members more; service and product trading as well as online auction opportunities for businesses and individuals.

Until now individuals have not been invited to join barter systems as it was thought that they had nothing to offer the market; but as markets and needs change, so has BarterZone by offering memberships to individuals to give them the opportunity to buy and sell online without cash outlays.

Individuals, like their business cousins will be able to open an account, earn trade credits and start trading almost immediately.

BarterZone has gone one step further than other barter systems by offering free new memberships to both business and individuals, with the way the economy has been tracking everyone has been affected and in keeping with the business philosophy of growth for all, BarterZone has opened up free membership in a bid to help people through what could otherwise have been a challenging time.

Patrick Howard of BarterZone, who has been at the helm of the company Ozone since acquiring it in 2007 has been working behind the scenes on the new business model for well over a year and sees this as an ideal time to relaunch as BarterZone.

Mr Howard says “All too often we are hearing of businesses who are slashing prices to reduce stock holdings, this is not always a good thing and can have a detrimental affect on the business and the business brand. We wanted to come in where no other barter system is and offer businesses the opportunity to trade with each other at no cost for membership and lower trading fees.

“We then looked at what was happening with consumers, the individuals who have a need to sell unwanted goods; and saw an opportunity to help them by the offering Individual memberships.”

Individuals will be able to trade with each other and with their business cousins, creating opportunities for both sides of the trade. Businesses are looking for ways they can reduce overheads, save cash for other core business activities, and with BarterZone they will be able to trade in a way not seen before.
