Federated Farmers Dairy is throwing its full weight in behind Molly Ploeg’s ‘Doodle 4 Google’ entry titled, ‘Moogle Google’, by urging its members to go on-line and vote for it.

“Dairy farmers all over New Zealand are encouraged to move that mouse and vote for Molly’s Ploeg’s ‘Moogle Google’ doodle,” says Lachlan McKenzie, Federated Farmers Dairy chairperson.

“While more than a little biased, Federated Farmers Dairy gives Molly 10 out of 10 for her ‘Moogle Google’. We honestly believe this ought to win. We’re going all out too by putting details and links into our Friday Flash e-newsletter, which goes out to some 13000 people.

“I’d also urge Straight Furrow, Rural News, Farmers Weekly and related publications swing in behind Molly’s entry too. It would be great to have Hokonui Gold’s Jamie Mackay, BSport’s Richard Loe, Rural Delivery and the County Channel pushing Moogle Google too.

“Molly wants to be a dairy farmer when she grows up and is the kind of person we want to see enter our industry. The fact she attends an inner city school in Avondale is no barrier.

“Federated Farmers would love to have an opportunity to host Molly on a member’s dairy farm in the Auckland region. Indeed, Federated Farmers Farm Day 2010 being held on March 28 next year will provide an opportunity for other young aspiring farmers to see what our great industry is all about.

“Farming is honestly the best job anyone can have. It’s full of variety and there’s nothing more satisfying than the primary production of food.

“Voting for Molly’s ‘Moogle Google’ is really easy too.

“Farmers just have to put “Doodle 4 Google” into the Google New Zealand search engine, click the vote button and choose the ‘Years 9-10’ category. Moogle Google is in that category and voting for it is as simple as a single click of a mouse.

“Come on all you dairy farmers and farmers in general. Molly Ploeg’s Moogle Google deserves to become a Google New Zealand doodle so move that mouse and vote for the Moogle Google doodle today,” Mr McKenzie urged.
