Fantastic Prizes on Offer for Fleetwood Mac Volunteers
All volunteers at the forthcoming Fleetwood Mac concerts will not only get to promote New Plymouth District to thousands of visitors, they’ll also have the chance to win one of five fantastic prizes.
And the first prize is a real corker!
The first name drawn from the hat at the volunteers’ thank you event on Monday 21 December will enjoy a $1,000 dinner for 10 people, including wine and beer, cooked in their own home by a Eurest executive chef.
Also on offer are two pairs of tickets to see Cliff Richard and the Shadows at the TSB Bowl of Brooklands on 27 February 2010, and a further two pairs of tickets to the All Blacks versus Ireland test match at Yarrow Stadium on 12 June 2010.
Craig Elder, Central North Island Regional Manager of Eurest’s parent company Compass, says his team will be delighted to lay on the $1,000 dinner for the winning volunteer. “The winner will be able to sit back with friends and family and have a delicious meal served in the comfort of their own home, on a date of their choice. And needless to say, we’ll do the washing up as well!”
To date some 80 volunteers have signed up to help during the Fleetwood Mac weekend, providing visitors with a range of information on how to make the most of their time in Taranaki.
Volunteer Coordinator Moira Irving says: “The volunteers will be based at various locations such as New Plymouth Airport, Devon Street, the Coastal Walkway and Pukekura Park, and will act as ambassadors for the district and region.
“Full training will be given and the ‘vollys’ will be able to decide how many hours they work.”
Those interested in volunteering and being in the draw to win one of the five fantastic prizes should call Moira on 06-759 6060 or send her an email at irvingm@npdc.govt.nz. Applications must be returned by 4 December.
