Early Signs Say Aucklanders Want a Sparkly Sky Tower This Christmas

SKYCITY is giving Aucklanders the choice of what colours they want to see light up the Sky Tower this Festive Season and it looks like it might be a sparkly combination if early votes are anything to go by.

Over the past week, the public has been voting for which combination of lights they would like to see the Sky Tower lit with. The people of Auckland have been given the choice of four colour combinations; two combinations of ‘block colours’ and two combinations which include animation on the mast of the tower made possible by new LED light technology which shows ‘special effects’. The winning combination will be one of a:

· Green base with a red top
· Blue base with a silver top
· Green base with a red, silver and blue flashes
· Red base with moving silver and blue rings

With just under a week to go, the Green base with red, silver and blue flashes has the lead with 31% of the total votes; with Red base with moving silver and blue rings coming in a close second with 28% of the votes.

There is still time to cast your vote. Just spend $5 or more at any of SKYCITY’s 18 restaurants, cafés or bars to enter the draw.
