Yes, that’s right. His name is Bruce. He lives near Catlins Woodstock Lodge and Function Centre in the Catlins. And many guests have had the pleasure and excitement of spotting him as he looks over the Lodge.

He loves to tap his toes and wiggle to the music being played at the annual Catlins Woodstock Music Festival, which, under normal circumstances, would have been held this weekend. But this year is far from normal.

This year he is staying high enough to keep dry – all the recent rain has made the ground conditions so saturated that the 21st annual Catlins Woodstock Music Festival 2010 has had to be postponed. This is the first time in the event’s history that this has happened!

Bruce has had a quite word with the organisers of the event and totally agrees with the decision to postpone. “The event is all about Family Fun. We want it to be a great experience, and to achieve that, its better to postpone the event than run it under the circumstances.”

But he’s not going to let all the rain be the straw that breaks his back!! “We are trying to find another date at the moment,” He says. “Everyone is so understanding, we are very thankfull. – watch this space for more info”

He does extend an invitation to people to come and see him at any time. He loves the limelight and will happily pose for a photo! For more info check out www.woodstocklodge.co.nz
