Northern Knights fans have one more shot at winning a trip for two to the United States to attend a USPGA golf event and meet professional caddy - and newly crowned NZ Saloon Car Champion - Steve Williams.

Huntly Speedway and Northern Districts Cricket partnered up to deliver the fantastic prize for anyone attending one of their events at either the Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui, Seddon Park in Hamilton or Huntly Speedway this summer.

The Knights take on the Central Stags at Seddon Park on Tuesday 26th January, the last match in the HRV Cup round robin and the last chance for local cricket fans to enter the competition simply by attending the match and filling in the entry form provided at the gate.

It's shaping up as a pivotal clash for the Knights, who remain in contention for the HRV Cup final. Central have been one of the form teams of the competition, hovering at the top of the points table and currently in second spot, equal with the Otago Volts on 20 points but with a slightly inferior net run rate.

After bagging another four points for their clinical demolition of the Canterbury Wizards on Sunday, the Knights are equal with the Auckland Aces on 16 points, occupying fourth spot behind the Aces with their net run rate, 0.475, fast catching up on the Aces' 0.514.

The competition at the top is so tight that run rate could well be the factor that determines the ultimate two finalists and will be front of mind for both the Aces and Knights teams when they clash this Friday in Auckland.

Both the Knights' away game in Auckland and the big Seddon Park home match against the Stags on the 26th commence at 5pm.
