Koru Care NZ to Cruise Auckland's Waitemata Harbour
Koru Care Charitable Trust will be the beneficiary of a special harbour cruise aboard the iconic Waipa Delta on Saturday 13 March.
The night will see the Waipa Delta steam out onto Auckland’s Waitemata Harbour. This won’t be any normal Harbour Cruise; it will be to raise funds for the Koru Care Charitable Trust New Zealand (www.korucare.co.nz).
Koru Care has been helping young children with ongoing medical conditions, terminal illnesses and other life changing situations by taking them on a trip of a lifetime. In the 26 years Koru Care has been helping children more than 1,000 children have enjoyed these trips of a lifetime, going to places like the Gold Coast and Los Angeles.
Koru Care relies on the support and generosity of the community (business and individual) to help make these trips possible and this year you have an opportunity to help make the trip to Disneyland in October memorable.
During the cruise guests will have the opportunity to help further by bidding on a range of items which have been kindly donated to further help with this fundraising event – all while enjoying on board entertainment and a range of fine foods and refreshments .
This event has been generously sponsored and supported by Adage Business & Media Services, Waipa Delta, The Wine Vault, Business to Business, The Web Co,and BarterZone. Additional sponsorship opportunities are available and offers of product or services for the auction are still being accepted.
Ann Bain, Koru Care chairperson said “We’re delighted that Auckland businesses are coming on board to help us by holding this event, it is sure to be a memorable night and will help us with the travel and accommodation costs for our Los Angeles trip in October”.
Graeme Russell of Adage Business said “I’ve been a supporter of Koru Care for many years and wanted to do something a little different this year. Having recently been out on the Waipa Delta I thought this would make for a different look and feel for a fundraising event for Koru Care.
“I’m hoping that by the end of the night we will have helped raise sufficient funds ($9,000) to help with the travel and accommodation costs for two children to Los Angeles in October.”
