Rona Bay closed until further notice

People are being asked not to swim or collect shellfish at Rona Bay in Eastbourne until further notice.



This follows routine testing by Capacity and Greater Wellington Regional Council which showed bacteria numbers in the water pose a public health risk.



Further testing will be carried out to determine the cause of the water quality issues.



Signs have been placed along the beach to alert the public
