Gisborne Filmmaker Wins Jury Award and selected for The New York International film Festival
Gisborne Filmmaker, Polly Green’s latest film Soft Power Health, a short documentary film about professional kayaker Dr. Jessie Stone’s humanitarian aid efforts in Uganda, was just announced as a Jury Winner of Best Action Sports Film in the Mammoth Mountain Film Festival.
The Jury award is the festival's highest level of recognition. Only a small handful of select films awarded this exclusive honor.
The film has also just been announced as an official selection in the New York International Film Festival, one of the largest independent film festivals in the world. The film has also been recognised by the film and entertainment industry as one of the leading film events on the independent festival circuit. They had this to say about Green’s film:
