The Northern Knights have named Hamish Marshall in their side for round eight of the national one-day cricket competition, against the Auckland Aces at Cobham Oval in Whangarei.

Hamish Marshall is returning to a side for which he has played many games, but he is now classed as an overseas player. He arrived in New Zealand from England at the end of January and, after a few games on grass, is ready to step into a side already guaranteed a semi-final, but looking now to snatch second place on the points table and the possibility of a home final.

Marshall comes into the twelve for injured wicketkeeper Peter McGlashan. The versatile BJ Watling will take the gloves for this match.
