Super spinner Daniel Vettori is once again leading the way as the Northern Knights cricket team raises money for the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation and junior cricket.

Each of this season's Knights has put their autographed pink HRV Cup playing shirt up for auction on TradeMe to benefit the team's official charity, with the remaining 50% going to junior cricket in the Northern Districts region. Vettori's shirt - the genuine article, as worn by him on field - is proving the hottest item, with the latest bid reaching $671.

Star Sri Lankan import Dilshan Thilkaratne - player of the tournament at last year's Twenty20 World Cup - is in second place with bidding reaching $250 after just two days, while the shirt of Vettori's BLACKCAPS team-mate Tim Southee has climbed to $100.

But that still leaves a host of bargains for cricket fans, with the shirts of the remaining 15 players - half of whom are current or former BLACKCAPS - in the $50-$53 range. At that price, the authentic, personally autographed shirts (both sides) are a steal, given the regular replica pink shirts available to the public retailed at $99 this season and sold out.
