About to throw out your old toaster or ditch the stereo? Then bring it along to Hutt City Council’s free e-recycling day from 10am – 2pm on Sunday 14 March at the Riverbank car park.

Anything that plugs in and uses electricity will be accepted, including computers, whiteware, toasters and microwaves.

“Last year our e-recycling collection proved really popular so we’re holding two this year,” says Mayor David Ogden.

“We’re partnering with Earthlink to recycle and repair everyday electrical appliances to reduce pressure on our landfills and the need for new materials.”

Drop off from vehicles will be easy and quick with several collection points in the Riverbank car park.

Can’t make it on the day? Find out where you can recycle your electronic products any time at www.huttcity.govt.nz or phone 570 6666.
