Hamilton Zoo to go wild for Family Fun Day
Families are invited to ‘take a walk on the wild side’ at Hamilton Zoo this Sunday [7 March] for its Family Fun Day.
Running from 10am-2pm, the fun day will have a ‘wild things’ theme – with children encouraged to come along dressed as a ‘zoo wild thing’ for a chance to win an Eye2Eye Encounter with an animal of their choice.
Entertainment throughout the day will include Bruce & Bruce Adventure Seekers Show, Jungle Rock Jam with Simon McCreesh, Wildside Drumming School, Bush Corner Storytime and Leaping Leonard leap frog fun. There will also be a Conservation Corner with ‘feely bags’, stilt walkers, face painting and giveaways.
Hamilton Zoo director Stephen Standley said the aim of the fun day is for families to be able to spend quality time together in a unique setting.
“This year the Family Fun Day coincides with National Children’s Day…What better way to mark celebrate Children’s Day than to spend time together as a family at Hamilton Zoo,” he said.
