Children's Library 100th Birthday Party Gets Surprise Visit from Clifford
The Children’s Library is getting a surprise present for its 100th Birthday Party on Saturday 13 March from 11.30am – 12 noon.
Clifford the Big Red Dog has been so busy that the Children’s Library was unsure if he would be able to be part of their celebrations. However, a last minute call has confirmed that he is on his way, and will make a special appearance between 11.30am and 12.00pm on the Ground Floor of the City Library.
‘We are thrilled to have Clifford with us’, Lynette Hartgill, Marketing Coordinator for the Dunedin Public Libraries said. ‘Children just love him so it will make the day extra special.’
It is expected that Clifford will join the crowds dancing to Kat Ana Fiddle during his visit, and may even get to shake paws with another friend from the animal kingdom, Geronimo Stilton, who is making several adventurous appearances throughout the day.
The Children’s Library 100th Birthday Party starts at 11.00am on Saturday with a day full of free fun activities, story sessions from local children’s authors and illustrators, a magic show and music.
