New Zealand Paralympic skier Adam Hall, has finished eighth in his final
event at the Vancouver 2010 Winter Paralympic Games.

Hall, from Otago, recently completed the Super Combined event which includes
one run in the Super G discipline and one in the Slalom.

After the Super G Hall was in 10th place finishing with a time of 1minute
26.44seconds.

In the Slalom, Hall completed the run in a time of 2minutes 17.02seconds to
finish eighth overall. The winner was German Gerad Schonfelder in 2minutes
11.84seconds.

Hall was not despondent at missing out on a medal. "Two top 10's and a gold
medal. I'm pretty happy with that," said Hall. "It was great to have all of
the support I've had throughout the Games. Today was a bit unfortunate with
the conditions. The course was like an ice rink. For some reason they
watered the course."

As for the future, Hall has a few things planned over the next couple of
weeks and after that he says he needs to look at where he is heading.

"I'm going to Winter Park in Colorado with my family and then to LA for a
few days too. I'll return to New Zealand in early April and from there work
out how to get to Russia (Sochi 2014 Winter Paralympics). I want to carry on
as long as I can."

Overall Hall won a gold medal in the Slalom. Gained a seventh place in the
Super G and was eighth in the Super Combined.

The final events of the Vancouver 2010 Winter Paralympic Games conclude
tomorrow followed by the closing ceremony tomorrow afternoon (New Zealand
time).
