Clutha Delta water quality field days
Farmers are likely to be interested in three Clutha Delta Catchment field days being held in the area at the end of this month. One event is planned for farmers in each of the Kaitangata/Stirling, Inch Clutha and Paretai areas respectively.
Otago Regional Council (ORC) land resources officer Alice Webster said the field days would look at recent water quality snapshots of the area and discuss land management practices that impact on waterway health. Also they will introduce the proposed new water quality strategy to farmers.
The Kaitangata/Stirling field day will be held on Monday 29 March, at Keith Calder and Joy Hall's (Mavis Mosley's property), 74 Lawrence Rd, Kaitangata, supply number 38146.
The Inch Clutha field day will be held on Tuesday 30 March, at Paul and Jo Barton's (Alison McLeary's property) very end of Lawson Rd, Inch Clutha, supply number 38128.
The Paretai event will be held on Wednesday 31 March, at Peter Gilder's (Landcorp), Dunns Dairy, 735 Owaka Highway, Paretai, supply number 38351.
