The new Nokia N97 mini is a slim, light and pocket-friendly mobile with access to thousands of apps and free navigation.

Users can personalise the home screen with great apps, games and other content from the Ovi Store, such as “WickedRugby”, “Fishing Knots”, “Guitar Hero 5” and the latest V8 supercar action with “Inside TeamVodafone”.

With Ovi Maps, the Nokia N97 mini is also a top-class personal navigator with free walk and drive navigation. Users can be voice-guided to places of interest and access city guides with information on everything from sporting venues and car parks to locating the nearest ATM or pub.

The Nokia N97 Mini has a 3.2-inch touch screen which flips between a horizontal and vertical display. For those who prefer physical keys, a simple push and slide tilts the screen to reveal a spacious QWERTY keypad.

Nokia product and technology manager, Gill Hollister, says, “With the Nokia N97 mini, we’ve made the most of the display landscape by designing a home screen that enables people to access useful apps and the features they utilise most such as email and internet.

“The sleek Nokia N97 mini integrates the web into your life and seamlessly connects you to your friends and favourite online services.”

The new Lifecasting with Ovi application enables users to publish their location and status updates directly to their Facebook account from the mobile home screen.

The handset features a 5MP camera with Carl Zeiss lens, autofocus and dual LED flash producing sharp photos worthy of placement in the pool room.

The Nokia N97 mini is available from the end of April 2010 through Vodafone stores and dealers for a RRP of NZ $1,149.
